Musselburgh Old Course Golf Club Episode #10
Home of Golf TV In this episode Andy Brown visited Musselburgh Old Course Golf Club, the oldest surviving golf course in the world. The Course The Old Course at Musselburgh is a 9 hole, par 34 links golf course, located in the heart of Musselburgh, just miles 3 from Edinburgh and surrounded by Musselburgh Racecourse. The course was originally 7 holes, another hole was added in 1838 and then the full 9 holes came into play in 1870. I really enjoyed walking round the historic course taking a look at the layout and in particular I wanted to see the infamous 4th hole, Mrs Foremans. Its named after the pub, Mrs Foremans Inn, which sits behind the 4th green and where in years gone by refreshments could be passed to golfers through a hatch in the wall of the pub adjacent to the green the perfect halfway house!
What are possible causes for early releasing the golf club in the downswing?
I am looking for reasons, drills, or suggestions to help fix an early release in the golf swing.
I am looking for causes, solutions, or drills thanks. By early release I mean flipping my hands through the ball so loft is added to the shot, but at impact i am looking for the club to be delofted or square. Thank you
How easy is it to damage a golf club shaft?
I had a golf bag in my trunk and someone put a rigid 20-30 lb suitcase in the middle of the bag, and a 15-20lb bag on the heads. I drove around for a while on a rough road in heavy traffic, so lots of hard turns and potholes. It looks like the club shaft that was directly beneath the suitcase is slightly bent, but it’s hard to tell.
These are steel, regular flex shafts.
How do I make a golf schedule for a professional country club?
I’ve been tasked to develop a a schedule of matches for a couples’ golf league. There are eighteen couples that must play each other over the course of 17 weeks. I need to make this schedule keeping in mind that one of the couples are unsure if they will participate for the season and may cancel. How would I go about making this?
